Raw Recipes
This frosty shake is sure to satisfy your chocolate ice cream cravings. Maca, a root from the Andes, lends the pleasant, malty taste.
Yield: 1 serving
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 cup hemp milk
- 3 tablespoons raw cacao or unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon maca, optional
Equipment
- measuring cups
- measuring spoons
- blender
- rubber spatula
Allow the bananas to thaw for 5 minutes. Break the bananas into two or three pieces and place them in a blender with the remaining ingredients. Process until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately.

I too use maca as a malt powder in shakes. It is good with almond butter added as well.
