Raw Food Ingredients
Staple ingredients for your raw food pantry.
Prunes are high in antioxidants and an easy snack. Try soaking them for 10 minutes, and mashing them a little to create a compote.
A spice blend containing cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, all-spice, and cloves. Perfect in raw pumpkin pie.
A naturally sweet, healthy addition to breakfast cereals, salads, and more
Cocoa powder is made from roasted cacao beans that have been processed to extract the butter, then dried and ground. Roasted cocoa powder has a deeper flavor than raw cacao powder, so sometimes I like to use it in raw desserts. Choose an organic brand. (Dutch-processed cocoa powders, such as Green and Black’s, are my favorite brands because they have the deepest chocolate flavor.)
Whole cane sugar is unrefined and light brown in color.
Artisana Raw Organic Tahini is made from the husked (out of shell) sesame seed. It is uniquely made into a raw sesame seed paste. We select the best seeds because raw sesame seeds can be very bitter. Tahini is sure to fortify your diet with calcium, protein and iron.
Made with 100% whole soybeans and no wheat, San-J Organic Tamari Gluten Free Soy Sauce has a richer and milder taste than regular soy sauce.
These organic tomato halves contain only tomatoes and water. Reconstitute them in water for 10-30 minutes, then slice into salads, or blend into sauces.
The aroma of Tahitian vanilla beans is flowery and fruity. Gourmet and pastry chefs love to work wtih them in a variety of desserts.
Made from beans grown in Madagascar, Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla is the king of vanillas. Its creamy, sweet flavor blends beautifully with a variety of foods.
