Vacation Dining: Go Raw For Breakfast for a Great Day

You already know that I love to eat.  But did you know that I love to travel, too?  Going to new places, meeting different people, and having culinary adventures is one of my favorite things. 

Being away from home is fun, but it can be stressful...especially at mealtime.  I like to eat well so that I feel well, and that can be a bit of a challenge when you’re in a hotel room in a strange city. 

Raw Food Breakfast on the Road
With the right items in my suitcase, I can always start my day off right with a good raw food breakfast, even if it’s just a simple smoothie or some fresh fruit.

For a sweet, simple breakfast, enjoy some fresh fruit, such as apples, bananas, or oranges. Or, use a travel blender to make a smoothie – I like the Tribest Personal Blender-- to make an Apple Banana Green Smoothie or Blueberry Green Smoothie.  Don’t worry about trying to locate fresh leafy green veggies to add to these smoothies (like kale, spinach, or collards).  Instead, just pack some green powder to use instead.

To give your breakfast beverage even more punch you can add a tablespoon of ground flaxseeds or a tablespoon of raw vegan protein powder.

If you prefer a savory breakfast, an avocado is tasty and satisfying. Simply cut it in half, remove the pit, sprinkle the flesh with salt, and eat with a spoon. Yum!

Filled with the nutrition of a good breakfast, you’ll be ready for anything that comes your way!
