This is great for holidays! Whether you’re planning on party-hopping or partying at home (alone or with loved ones), I’ve got a fabulous recipe to add to your menu: raw food Chocolate Candy Cups.
It’s the new addition to my YouTube Channel
These are a great hit if you are entertaining or need a fun new treat for kids!
Raw food Chocolate Candy Cups are fun and festive, too. You can fill them up with berries, add a few golden raisins or pistachios, and serve this elegant treat at your dinner table. If you prefer, can let guests nibble at them in the living room as an after-dinner delight.
As you’ll see in my video, they’re a snap to make.
Cooked chocolate must be ‘tempered.’ Tempering is a time-consuming, labor-intensive method of heating and cooling chocolate in order to use it for coating or dipping. My raw chocolate, made with cocoa powder (or raw cacao powder), Medjool dates, virgin coconut oil, and natural sweeteners is much easier to work with. Simply combine the ingredients in a blender and carefully press the mixture into foil baking cups.
Your Chocolate Candy Cups will ‘set up’ (harden) and be ready to use in about two hours.
By the way, Chocolate Candy Cups make an outstanding hostess gift. Fill them with raisins or nuts, place them in a plastic storage bag (not the kind with a zipper top), and tie them with a brightly color ribbon – red and green for Christmas; black, red, and green for Kwanzaa, blue and white for Hanukkah, and silver and black for New Year’s.

Best wishes for a happy, healthy, and raw food-filled 2013!
